Check a small second damage type before discarding it

In a Corruption setup, a small Acid or Crush component can matter beyond its printed base amount because the damage components can each benefit. Do not judge a mixed-damage item solely by whether it has less of your main damage stat.

Compare the actual attack against the same target

  1. Identify an attack that actually uses the damage types you are adding.
  2. Keep the Corruption setup and target consistent when comparing outcomes.
  3. Check the target-specific preview after the effect is active.
  4. Retain the mixed item only if the resulting gain justifies its equipment space and any lost defenses.

Do not turn the interaction into a universal multiplier

This is not a promise of triple total damage, nor a reason to replace every weapon. Enemy defenses, ability wording, and the applied effect all matter. Avoid importing a fixed consumable value or one boss example into every encounter.
