Spend the new currency at a Merchant encounter
Lootbound's Merchant appears during expeditions and trades gear for currency collected along the run. This encounter arrived with the September 27 content update. Use the Merchant's displayed balance and prices; buying an Arsenal unlock in the Hub is a different decision.
Check the purchase before paying
When you encounter the Merchant, inspect the offered item and its price.
Check the intended wearer's class restriction and available equipment space.
Identify the item it would replace, including any aura contact lost in the swap.
Buy when the new equipped layout solves a current problem and the displayed balance covers the cost.
Do not budget around a guaranteed shop
A Merchant is an encounter, not a guaranteed stop on every chosen branch. Keep the party functional without a future purchase. There is no reason to dismantle useful equipment while waiting for an imagined fixed stock or price.
