Read abilities during the hero's combat turn
Use the combat ability panel to record the skills your equipment needs to support. The map and inventory views do not provide the same ability inspection. If you cannot find those tooltips between battles, keep the last combat's skill information available for the next equipment decision.
Make a useful skill record
During your turn, open the relevant ability tooltip before choosing an action.
Note its damage type, named scaling stat, mana cost, and target wording.
For a companion, also retain the activation condition shown for its ability.
After the fight, compare proposed gear with those requirements; update the record after choosing a new skill.
A class name is not a scaling formula
Do not buy Chaos merely because the character is a Witch, or Order merely because the character heals. Match the actual selected action. A new skill can change which stat matters, making an earlier equipment note obsolete.
Lootbound Companion Ability Not Triggering: FixesFix Lootbound companion abilities that do not trigger by checking tooltip conditions, mana, valid targets, and turn timing before changing the build.
