Include the hero when checking an all-allies effect

An ability described as affecting all allies includes the hero; it is not shorthand for companions only. Read the complete action wording, then check the caster as well as the other party members when confirming the effect.

Confirm the scope of the selected action

  1. Open the ability and distinguish all allies from one ally or a random ally.
  2. Read any additional condition or separate effect attached to the action.
  3. After casting, inspect the caster's effect icon or changed resource.
  4. Check the other eligible party members rather than judging the action from one animation.

Group targeting does not make every skill identical

A single-target heal still follows its own targeting text. A buff also need not produce an immediate Health increase: inspect its icon to see the affected stat. Do not spend a second ability merely because the first effect was not a healing number.
