Choose Bard as the hero for deliberate support timing
A controlled Bard lets you choose support actions on the Bard's turn. A recruited Bard uses automatic ability conditions instead. If your plan requires healing before a specific hit, do not assume a companion will make that same proactive decision.
Choose the role around the required heal
- Decide whether you need to choose the healing moment yourself.
- For manual timing, start with Bard and inspect the available support abilities.
- For a companion Bard, read the actual ability condition and mana requirement.
- Keep another survival option for a turn when that automatic condition is not met.
A full mana bar is not an instruction to heal
Available mana alone does not compel the companion to cast. The selected ability's condition still matters. Playing Bard as the hero changes control, not the need for suitable skills, mana, and enough party damage to finish the encounter.
