Topside can mean the top of the equipment grid
For an aura whose activation requires the top or side of the inventory, move the aura-bearing item to that inventory border. Putting another item above it is a different operation and does not satisfy the border condition.
Satisfy position and recipient rules separately
- Read whether the aura requires a particular inventory edge to activate.
- Place the aura-bearing item against that edge in the equipment tab.
- Place the required item type in the aura's highlighted receiving area.
- Check the bonus, then repeat the check after rotating or replacing either item.
Not every directional aura uses the same condition
Some wording describes where recipients must sit; other wording describes where the aura item must sit. Follow the complete tooltip. An item that activates at the top can still do nothing if its neighbors are not the required equipment type.
